Statuario

Statuario is quarried in the Apuan Alps, like Carrara, but it has a whiter ground and broader, softer grey veining. No two slabs are alike.

That is why the cut is decided by looking at the whole slab: in our workshop a Statuario-type slab is templated, cut and drilled to become a vanity top, with the veining followed by eye. It is worked polished or honed, for tops, washbasins and cladding.
